Overview of the Kyoto School
Founded in 1935, Kamei Gakuen has long been committed to fostering excellence and developing capable individuals for the future.
With the creation of the Japanese Language Department in 2003 and the presence of professional courses in medical and welfare fields, we received a growing number of requests from companies and organizations seeking to enroll international students pursuing careers as nurses and care workers. At the same time, many inquiries came from Kyoto asking whether a school like ours existed. These developments led us to establish this Kyoto campus.
Kyoto hosts the second-largest foreign resident population after Osaka, is home to world-famous companies, and welcomes more than six million international tourists each year. As a result, the development and retention of foreign talent in fields such as tourism has become increasingly important. With this in mind, we expect our graduates to pursue further studies in healthcare and welfare, tourism, business, or Japanese cultural studies at universities and vocational institutions. To meet these growing societal needs, we aim to enrich both our Japanese-language and cross-cultural education, and Committed to developing and producing global talent who possess strong Japanese ability, the communication skills to thrive within Japanese society, and the capacity to develop advanced professional expertise. Through these efforts, we strive to fulfill our mission and responsibility as an educational institution.
Together with our established Japanese-language education in Osaka, we provide opportunities to study specialized subjects, guided by an experienced team of instructors. We are excited to welcome you and to experience the richness of your cultures.
